How to contact me?

It’s really easy! Imagine you have a great text in English that you would’d love to have translated into Portuguese, Spanish or Catalan. Or maybe your text isn’t that great and you’re hoping to find a translator that will do a better job rewriting it in Portuguese, Spanish or Catalan. Better yet: let’s have it in six, seven or eight different languages so that your message is received throughout the world.

Fabulous! That’s where I jump in!

All you have to do is send me an email: a very simple one, as informal as you like, and no strings attached. Here’s my email address:

davidpinheiro@transfactoria.com

You might prefer a direct approach and give me a call. That’s fine too, although be ready to have a lough with my latin accent! Alternatively, you can message me by whatsapp or iMessage. My phone number is as follows:

(+34) 649 985 853

I’ll need you to tell me a few things about the document, such as its size (number of words), what it is about, its format, to which language –or languages– you would like to have it translated, what should the turnaround date be… And then you’ll add something about yourself: whether you’re a particular or you speak on behalf of a company, a translator agency or a publisher…

You’ll hear from me in less than 24 hours. I’ll send you a detailed budget, you’ll then give me your approval and attach the document that you need translated (in case you haven’t sent it previously), and that’s pretty much it!

When it’s done, and always within the deadline, I’ll provide you with the translation. It will look just like the original document in every aspect, the only difference being the language it is written in. Should you need your document translated into several languages at once (that’s what we call a ‘multilingual translation’), I would take care of gathering the team of translators and you wouldn’t have to worry about anything. And if while translating your document I felt that it could somehow be improved in terms of quality, accuracy or fluency, I would let you know my suggestions so that you could implement the changes that suited you best.

Something I would like to be very clearly about is that during the translation, proofreading or copywriting stage you can contact me, and please do! You won’t be bothering me at all! Wether it concerns changes, doubts, updates, any kind of questions, please feel free to drop me an email and I’ll be more than happy to put you up to date. This is exactly the kind of things you cannot do with an agency but you can surely do with a freelance translator. There are many advantages in hiring the services of a freelance professional and this is just one, but not less important: our personalized service, the human touch we offer and the capacity to adapt to the clients’ needs. In fact, you should think of me as your business partner rather than your vendor, and I am not exaggerating!

And then it will eventually be your turn to move: the time to pay will have arrived and, if all goes as planned, you will be happy to do it. I will send you an invoice reflecting the terms of our agreement and you’ll have 30 natural days to settle it (or whatever the due date is, according to our agreement). These and other details will all be explained in the budget, so don’t worry about that now.

And then… Some time later I’ll hear from you again with more translation requests, which I will be more than happy to do! When that day comes, you’d rather be prepared and have my contact details at hand. Here, let me make your life a bit easier! See the QR code just below? All you need to do is scan it with your smartphone and in a blink of an eye you’ll have a new professional contact in your contact list (mine!):
